Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe College Announces Tuition Increase

Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe College has made the decision to increase tuition from $190 per credit to $250 per credit for all undergraduate programs. This cost increase will go into effect Fall of 2022. Two first-ever bachelors programs were initiated. One additional bachelors in Early Childhood Education is also currently in its pilot phase. This tuition increase accounts for the expense in seeking faculty with higher credentials to teach the additional courses.

There has not been an increase to our tuition in ten years and this increase allows for the upcoming programming and course additions in line with our strategic plan. This increase will allow the college to address increased costs for the next several years as well.

“We recognize the weight of this cost on our students and have not made this decision lightly,” states Russell Swagger, President of Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe College. “After conducting a tuition review and discussions with Student Senate, Faculty, Executive Council, and Board of Regents, we feel this course of action will allow the college to continue providing current academic programming that meet the needs of the communities we serve.”
