LAC COURTE OREILLES OJIBWE COLLEGE ANNOUNCES SPRING 2021 SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe College (LCOOC) awarded more than $57,000 in scholarships to 55 students for the spring 2021 semester.

Scholarships are provided by generous donors funding four opportunities: Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe College Scholarship Fund, Isham-Chase Scholarship Fund, Gay I. & Harry C. Leslie III Fund, and the Johnson Scholarship Foundation Scholarship for Business Students.

The Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe College Student Scholarship Fund was established in December of 2018. In support of this fund, LCOOC kicked off its first capital campaign in the summer of 2020. This fundraising campaign is the first of its kind for the College and has a goal of raising $250,000 over two years, the College is currently at 86% of that goal with a year to go.

The Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe College’s mission is to provide Anishinaabe communities with post-secondary and continuing education while advancing the language, culture, and history of the Ojibwe.

Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe College (LCOOC) is a non-profit Ojibwe tribal community college. Our focus is to help Native students advance themselves in the world, while studying their own history and language.  We are an open-door institution which welcomes anyone who would like to work toward a better tomorrow.  LCOOC does not discriminate based upon race and will not deny admission to any Native student regardless of tribal enrollment or affiliation.
