This program is an entry-level EMT program, which meets requirements for licensure in Wisconsin and certification with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. This course prepares students for all aspects of emergency medical care, both medical and trauma situations, sanctioned by the Wisconsin Division of Health, at the basic level.

Admission requirements:
Must complete the university application and requirements
Must be at least 17 years old to start the course. All students younger than 18 years of age at the start date of the course must have a signed parental permission form on file with the program director prior to starting the course
Be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
At least a 2.0 cumulative GPA.
Have no physical or mental impairment that would render the student unable to perform all practical skills required for the level of licensure
Have the ability to pass Wisconsin Caregiver Background Check, National Background Check, and a Sex Offender Background Check
Provide proof of the immunizations required by the clinical site
