I started my academic career at UW-Madison with an English degree in secondary education and had a strong interest in anything Irish so attended University College-Dublin, Ireland where I received an MA in Anglo-Irish literature. I was always a reader and developed an interest in the library & archival fields so finally decided on a career path and obtained an MLS degree at the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis. I worked in school libraries before coming to LCOOU.

I am the liaison to the LCOOU Library Board and a member of several library organizations that include ALA, AILA, TCULA and WLA.
I worked in the past with Convening Culture Keepers which is the process of getting back in action after a hiatus of five years. This group includes personal from libraries, archives, and museums from Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan.
I also work with community Elders through the "Every Family has a Story" genealogy group which is co-sponsored through the Kinnamon School Museum and the library.
