Internship Opportunities

Internships at LCOOU are an exciting way to ‘earn while you learn’ and get a jump start on your career! Student Internships are only open to LCOOU student and provide students with a means to learn about and explore their chosen career field. Students who take advantage of the paid internships will earn a competitive wage while deciding if this career choice is right for them. Currently student interns are compensated at $15 per hour for up to 20 hours per week and internship hours will work around the students’ schedule.

Statistics: 2020-2021, Interns held an 86% retention rate (Fall 2020-Fall 2021).

Basic eligibility for all internships include:

·      2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA)

·      Be enrolled in 6 credits with LCOOU

·      Be enrolled in an LCOOU academic program

·      Complete application to the Placement Coordinator’s Office (application, cover letter, resume, current LCOOC course schedule and unofficial transcripts)

NOTE: internships are funded through a variety of funding sources and there may be additional eligibility requirements which the Placement Coordinator will guide the student to the most appropriate funding source for the student.
